Master’s Sunday Lunch at Home & Watch Party

April 17, 2025April 17, 2025

Honey and Whit watched the Master’s all week from Whistler and were pleased as punch to be back home for the big day on Sunday. It’s one of the few days a year Honey wants to park himself in front of the TV and do nothing. Like I’ve done pretty much every Master’s we’ve been… Read More

Our Annual Mardi Gras Dinner

March 11, 2025March 11, 2025

Lent is in full swing, but I never did share our festive 2025 Mardi Gras dinner! It’s one of our favorite meals of the year. New Orleans School of Cooking Jambalaya Once again, I made jambalaya for our main course using the recipe we learned at the New Orleans School of Cooking. That was such… Read More

Sips & Suits {February Galentine’s Mahjong}

February 21, 2025February 13, 2025

After setting up our group and teaching the crew the game last month, we had our first evening of mahjong last week and it was a huge success! I already had Valentine’s touches up around the house, so things felt festive. We had 16 players and set up 4 tables – 2 in the den,… Read More

Valentine’s Day Fun {Galentine’s Cocktail}

February 13, 2025February 13, 2025

I had the ladies over for a Galentine’s Mahjong night and these rose ice cubes were such a hit! I filled the silicone mold with Cranberry Raspberry Juice and a little edible glitter. I served them with sparkling rose. Easy, beautiful and tasty! Sources: I’ll be using this again for our annual Derby Day dinner!… Read More

Celebrating Juju’s 80th!

January 31, 2025January 30, 2025

Gosh this post is tardy, but I didn’t want to skip it all together. Waaaaay back in October we celebrated Juju’s 80th birthday!! Her favorite color is green and she’s an exceptional gardener so it was only appropriate to incorporate those details into the festivities. We spent an evening celebrating the birthday girl over a… Read More

Making the Penguin Cake

January 22, 2025January 22, 2025

The cake at Whit’s penguin party was a HUGE hit with the boys. It was so easy to make and I had fun getting creative with it. Much like the hibachi dinner, there wasn’t a scrap left! By dixiedelights | Filed under celebrate | Tags: diy, parties, recipes, sweets and treats Share

New Years Eve Dessert Platter

January 1, 2025January 2, 2025

I put together an easy and delicious dessert platter to enjoy on New Year’s Eve. I presumed after our sit down dinner that the group wouldn’t want to have to regather around the tables for a plated dessert. This worked perfectly! I used the clock attachment on a round platter >> Browse the Happy Everything!… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
