On this Memorial Day, we feel so grateful that we had the opportunity to visit Arlington and bear witness to just some of the countless countrymen that have given their lives to protect our freedoms. It was a highlight of our D.C. trip and something that all of us will remember.
Our time spent at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was beautiful and awe inspiring. We were overcome with how meticulous and impressive and moving the Changing of the Guard Ceremony was in person. Experiencing this along side so many veterans was also very humbling.
We booked an on-off trolley tour through Arlington through Arlington Tours and highly recommend that. The knowledgeable trolley driver narrates along the way and then stops at 6 different locations during the week and 9 on the weekend.
I know the political climate is heated, and seems downright disastrous at times, but today and every day I am proud to be an American and am so grateful for all of the men, women and families that serve and have served our country.

I, too, am thankful every day to be an American. I’m grateful for the men, women and families who’ve sacrificed for our nation and its citizenry. ?? God bless America.
Amanda, when my teens went to Washington on a School Trip, each one told me that the most amazing thing they saw was the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier. You know how teens are not a soft touch so this was very surprising to me. Since then I have heard many people share at how overwhelmed they were with gratitude when they visit Arlington.
