If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you know I have a soft spot for anything almond flavored. Amaretto… almond cake… all of it. It’s always been a favorite.
So when I came across Bitsy’s Amaretto Cake in the VeryVera cookbook, I knew it was one I wanted to try. And it did not disappoint. We enjoyed snacking on it all week long!
Now, I will say… I still stand by Ivy’s favorite pound cake as my all-time favorite. That one isn’t going anywhere.
But this is a really solid option and one I’ll absolutely make again.
One thing to note… this recipe isn’t available online. It’s from the VeryVera cookbook, and after cooking through several recipes at this point, I can confidently say it’s been well worth having. Everything I’ve made has turned out beautifully, which is really all you can ask for in a cookbook.
We had a busy, busy weekend in this busy, busy season. I’m off to do laundry, grocery shopping, tidy up the house and prep for the week ahead.
