I’m going to wrap up my series on Universal Orlando today with my experience on the VIP Tour! We were treated to this fun day as an agency and had a fantastic time. There are two key options for VIP tours at Universal….
Universal Orlando Private VIP Experience
The Private VIP Experience at Universal Orlando is the ultimate way to experience both Universal and Islands of Adventure in one day. The tour lasts 8 hours and includes…

- Unlimited re-rides
- Hot breakfast

- Unlimited Express after the tour

And when they say front of the line access, they mean it! This is not like waiting in a FastPass or Express Pass line. This is going in the back door the ride, holding everyone else, and letting you board the attraction. It makes you feel like a celebrity!
This experience is great for guests that are short on time and have a lot on their list. I also find touring with a guide a good option for a large family, multi-generational family or two smaller families going together because it takes the stress of keeping everyone happy off of the table. Just tell the guide your interests and let them show you the parks!
Universal Orlando Non-Private VIP Experience
Another great VIP option is the non-private experience. This one includes…

- Up to 7 hour structured group tour

This experience is also a wonderful option for guests that are short on time. The key difference over the private experience is that you don’t choose the rides you want to do – you tour along with the group. They do make an effort to group parties with similar ages. So… they try not to put adults and teens in a group with young children but that is not guaranteed.
My Non-Private VIP Tour
Along with the Glass Slipper girls and guys, I fully enjoyed the VIP tour of Universal and Islands of Adventure. This was a WONDERFUL way to spend my first day ever in the parks because it helped me get my bearings, the guide explained every ride before we got on (ie. this one is in front of a screen, this one goes upside down…), and I got to do SO many rides. I also loved that our guides shared tips and tricks about the attractions. For example, before Men in Black she told us a few secret things to aim for. This came in VERY handy when I beat my family for the first time ever at a game a few weeks later. HA!
We started our day with breakfast at La Bamba, the exclusive VIP dining location.
We started with the brand new Fast & Furious on opening day. We just walked right on!
We explored Diagon Alley and rode Escape from Gringotts.
We hit E.T. Adventure, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Men in Black Alien Attack, Race through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, Revenge of the Mummy AND Transformers! We also took a break for lunch.
We headed back to Kings Cross Station and took the Hogwarts Express to Islands of Adventure.
After exploring Hogsmeade, we headed to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
Next, we cooled off on Jurassic Park River Adventure.
Then it was on to Skull Island Reign of Kong and Spider Man.
After this guy came out of nowhere and scared me out of my wits….
We we wrapped up our day on Hulk!!
If you’re counting, that was 14 rides – every major attraction across both parks plus breakfast and lunch in 7 hours. Amazing!
