“What good is the warmth of summer without the cold of winter to give it sweetness…” – John Steinbeck
One couldn’t help but marvel at the immense beauty of a snow covered landscape for as far as the eye could see last week. It was beautiful and glittering and unusual here in Georgia. We were all home this time, warm and lazy and a little gluttonous with the eating. We read, played games and watched TV, and when we got the wiggles we built snowmen, took the sleds down the driving range and walked to our friends’ houses. I, for one, didn’t miss the routine of school and work and sports one wee bit. :-)
And with that, I cannot tell y’all how thrilled I am to be back to our usual sort of winter weather down South. We spent the day playing outside and brushing up on our mini golf with the LEGO Movie sandwiched between. (Speaking of which, am I the only person on the planet who thought that movie was the pits? I mean, aside from bestie M of course.)

The high is 70 today and I hope to log some serious hours outside and on the porch!
