Being Happy {Free Printable}

April 12, 2013August 1, 2015

Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau, the colorful lady behind the label I love so much, passed away earlier this week. There’s no doubt that she made this world a little happier and lot more colorful. I’ve created a few printable files with my most adored Lilly-ism – the one I live by day in and day out…… Read More

Skirting the Issue

April 11, 2013July 28, 2015

We’re back in Atlanta and the first stop we made was to pick up the new slip covers for my dining room chairs.  Yee haw!!!!!!  I’m pretty much in love… We bought the dining set as a, well, SET for our first anniversary.  It’s the only “set” of anything that we own and, while I… Read More

Savannah: A Whole Lot of Nothing

April 11, 2013July 28, 2015

After go go going for the last few days, we spent our last day in Savannah doing a whole lot of nothing.  The PCP played games on the kindle and worked on a puzzle all day long.  Mother and I finished sewing a little balloon shade for my closet.  And we all soaked up the… Read More

Savannah: Back to Tybee

April 10, 2013July 28, 2015

We spent a gorgeous and relaxing day down at Tybee.  While the littles constructed their own rendition of Fort Pulaski and tooled around on their bodyboards, Mother and I parked ourselves in our lounge chairs and barely moved an inch for hours on end!              We picked up Japanese for supper… Read More

Savannah: Bowling + A Movie

April 9, 2013July 28, 2015

The spring break fun kicked off today with a few lively games at the bowling alley!  The baby was good for plenty of laughs with his unique moves and constant antics, and the PCP spent most of the time fretting over the fact that his little brother, his mommy AND his Mimi were all beating… Read More

Savannah: Fort Pulaski + Tybee

April 8, 2013July 28, 2015

We spent the better part of our day exploring Fort Pulaski – the site where the Union army’s rifled cannon made further such masonry fortifications obsolete and was a turning point in military history. A little official history:  Though completed in 1847, Fort Pulaski was under the control of only two caretakers until 1860 when… Read More

Savannah: Island Miniature Golf & Playground Fun

April 7, 2013July 28, 2015

We kicked off the first official day of spring break over eighteen holes of FUN at Island Mini Golf & Games!!   I must remark that this operation is very clean, affordable and well managed.  And mini golf is just the beginning of how to while away an afternoon here – there are bumper cars,… Read More

A weekend I’ll never forget. 🤍 Back in my hometow A weekend I’ll never forget. 🤍

Back in my hometown celebrating the daughter of my sorority big sis, one of my dearest friends since the day we met at the ZTA house during rush.

For over three decades, we’ve shared so much life together. I can still remember decorating A’s nursery, celebrating birthdays and cheering her on through every stage along the way.

And now here we are, celebrating her wedding weekend in beautiful Savannah.

The entire weekend celebration was absolutely sensational, filled with faith, family, friends, happy tears, lots of laughter and more love than I can possibly put into words.

My heart is so full. 🤍 All of our best wishes to the new Mr. and Mrs. 🤍
The very best week at home with Mother and Daddy-O The very best week at home with Mother and Daddy-O. 🤍

We ate all our favorite things, visited all our favorite places and enjoyed the kind of time together that never lasts quite long enough.

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
