How I Painted the Dogs

April 7, 2017April 12, 2017

Before you go any further, know that no live animals were harmed in the “painting of the dogs.”  Not even this girl who tried her best to run away with my paint brush.  :-) Y’all were SO sweet to gush over the dog’s new do when I shared our updated foyer!  I was really unsure… Read More

Easy DIY Cards for Kids

March 10, 2017

It has been so nice and springy out this week that it *almost* has me agreeing to another camping excursion with the littles.  Almost.  I have had these cute little DIY popsicle playing cards in the drafts folder of my blog since last August and figure it’s a great time to share with spring around… Read More

Easy DIY for Keeping Swim Team Ribbons

July 20, 2016August 8, 2016

We’ve wrapped up another summer swim team season!  It’s really my favorite summer activity for the littles and I love that it always wraps up by the end of June.  Back in the day I used to display my own swim team ribbons by hanging them through the shutter-type slats on my closet door.  Once… Read More

Hello Kitty Recital Bouquet

May 17, 2016May 23, 2017

I was so beyond excited about little CeeCee’s first ballet recital that I couldn’t wait to make her a little nosegay.  I wanted to add a little something special and so I turned to the thing she loves the most… her “kitties” … Hello Kitty! I headed off to Michael’s with a loose plan.  I… Read More

In the Shop {Welcome to Summer}

May 16, 2016May 5, 2017

My littles love to give their school friends a little “welcome to summer” type treat at the end of the school year.  I generally scout the dollar store for something to give and then create a tag to go with it.  In past years I’ve shared the Hope Your Summer is a Scream tags on… Read More

Lucite Floating Frame {DIY}

March 30, 2016August 13, 2016

I’m going to go ahead and apologize in advance for what is going to quite possibly be the worst DIY explanation ever.  I took a picture of all of the necessary supplies back in October and it is no nowhere to be found.  I’m hoping you can at least find some inspiration. I’ve wanted something… Read More

Easy + Inexpensive Cafe Shelf {DIY}

February 17, 2016August 13, 2016

As promised, here is easy DIY number two from my powder room update!!   I am always stumped as to how to “decorate” a potty.  I mean, do you put stuff on the back of the toilet?  Do you hang art over it?  Do you install shelving?  Do you pretend it doesn’t exist?  So many… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻 Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
