Geode Box {DIY}

January 26, 2016August 13, 2016

At long, long last I am going to bring y’all up to speed on my powder room.  Remember this? The crux of the matter is that I finished it in the One Room Challenge 6-week time frame.  And I despised it.  Like, hated it more than any room I’ve ever done.  Never again, friends.  (More… Read More

Crazy About You, Valentine

January 19, 2016January 8, 2017

There’s less than a month until Valentine’s Day and I’m in the throes of planning some special treats for my littles, adding some sweet touches around the house and designing cards for their classmates.  Whit loves a crazy straw, so when we saw these at the Dollar Tree (6 for $1!) we knew we had to bring… Read More

Christmas Card Display

December 10, 2015December 13, 2015

At long, loooong last, I finally have a solution for the age old what-in-the-world-to-do-with-Christmas-cards issue.  I have been brainstorming ideas for what seems like years and could never figure out a cute way to display them in our home. This one cost under $10 ($4 of which is reusable) and adds SO much holiday cheer… Read More

Go Cudas

June 8, 2015July 31, 2015

Summer swim team is in full swing down South!!!  I mean, we’ve actually been at it for three full weeks.  I adore the routine of getting up and out of the house, and the littles love hanging with their friends every day.  I used the same easy peasy system as last year for culling all… Read More

Feeling Crabby

June 4, 2015July 31, 2015

It’s June, y’all!  And that means it was time to swap out the door decor for something bright, sunny and summery!! Mother made the this cute little crab out of screens a couple of years ago and he’s always a favorite to pull out.  We made similar shamrocks prior to her making this crab.  You… Read More

Market Day Minecraft Keychains

May 12, 2015July 31, 2015

Last week the third graders all peddled their wares, while getting some real life exposure to supply and demand, marketing and selling, at Market Day.  The only rule was that you had to make 12-15 items and couldn’t spend more than $5-10.  Since the sign up sheet came home and went back while I was… Read More

Hope Your Summer is a SCREAM! {Free Printable}

May 11, 2015May 14, 2016

The baby’s class is wrapping up their year later in the week with their annual Beach Day.  Each student has a beach bucket with their name on it, and their classmates bring in little treats to fill it up.  I didn’t have an idea going in, but when darling ice cream cone bubbles greeted me… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻 Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
