Prom 2023 {Dressing Boys for Prom}

March 24, 2023March 21, 2023

If you remember back to John’s first big high school event, Homecoming 2022, I wanted to do something special to help commemorate the evening. I ended up giving him his first bottle of cologne and every time I see it in his bathroom I remember that night. As we were preparing for prom, a little… Read More

Prom 2023 {Enchanted Garden Dinner}

March 23, 2023March 21, 2023

My role in helping the kids organize for prom was planning their dinner! There were a few proms in our area on the same night and we knew finding a restaurant that could seat 24 on a Saturday would be tough. And so, I set everything up for the kids to have dinner at the… Read More

In the absolute blink of an eye, John and his group of incredible young people were off to their Junior prom. Where does the time go? With tireless help from the “prom planning moms”, the kids started at our club for pictures on the golf course. They then moved inside for a lovely dinner. Afterwards,… Read More

Celebrating 60

March 15, 2023March 13, 2023

We celebrated our dear friend’s 60th birthday last weekend. Wanting to do something a little more special than wrap up a bottle for this milestone occasion, I considered the bottles of all of his favorite liquors and settled on RumChata. It was big, white and completely flat so it was a winner for my project!… Read More

Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler {Mardi Gras Dinner at Home}

February 22, 2023February 24, 2023

Our annual Mardi Gras dinner at home is one of our favorite meals of the year. The boys said I need to it more often and they are right! New Orleans School of Cooking Jambalaya Once again, I made jambalaya for our main course using the recipe we learned at the New Orleans School of… Read More

Sports Hall of Fame {Presentation & Party}

January 17, 2023January 18, 2023

This weekend was so incredibly fun and special as Honey and his 1992 High School Baseball team was the first team to be inducted into their High School Sports Hall of Fame! The team won the school’s first ever state baseball title, with a record of 33 and 5. That season, the Raiders were also… Read More

Ringing in 2023 {Traditional New Year Feast}

January 2, 2023January 2, 2023

After a day spent at home resting, watching football and doing super fun things like cleaning the oven and ironing my bedspread, we enjoyed our 20th annual New Years Day meal! I gave myself gorgeous white linen napkins with a metallic gold monogram for Christmas last year (ha!) and they were the jumping off point… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
