Disney Wish Day 2: Nassau
Every day onboard Disney Cruise Line brings magic and adventure! Today’s port was Nassau. While I do have some great excursions I recommend to clients wanting to explore the port, we’ve done this itinerary seven times and opted to stay onboard. The ship has a full schedule of activities slated, even on port days, so there is no lack of things to do. In fact, it would be impossible to do it all!
I am always up before the rest of my boys, so I headed across the hall to the concierge lounge for breakfast. I found Jay and Mother there as well, and Daddy-O eventually joined us. The lounge offers a continental breakfast, as well as a small menu of hot and chef-prepared items.
We spent the whole morning on the concierge sun deck soaking up the rays! It is SO peaceful out here with the most comfortable loungers, dipping pool, two hot tubs, shade, a dedicated bar, beverage cooler, self serve smoothies and complimentary things like sunscreen.
Once my boys were up, John headed off with new friends to workout, eat and find a spot at the pool. Honey and I went exploring with Jay and Whit. We checked out the Hero Zone Incredi-Course, played some ping pong and got a drink in the Hyperspace Lounge (kids welcome before 8PM). We had lunch together in Marceline Market and then they were off to Vibe (at 14 they can go to both the tween and teen club!)
Back on our own again, we went to adult trivia and enjoyed some sushi and treats back in the concierge lounge.
With all the kids off doing their thing, the adults attended Daddy-O’s favorite event on the ship – Mixology! We had so much fun tasting and learning about 4 different cocktails.
We all met again before dinner in the concierge lounge. This was my favorite part of my day, each day. We talked about what we all saw, did and experienced while enjoying a little snack and drink.
Our dinner was in World of Marvel and it was SO much fun! We all enjoyed both the menu and the entertainment.

While some in our group headed to the Little Mermaid Show (I’ve seen it twice and it is wonderful), Honey and I milled around the ship and ended up at the Shimmering Seas Soiree, available across the fleet this summer to celebrate Disney Cruise Line’s 25th anniversary.
We met a few of the characters in their darling new outfits. And we found the cutest little CeeCee doing the same!
The late evening brought the 25th Annviersary deck party and Shimmering Seas Fireworks. It was a fun and festive gathering with characters, music, dancing and, of course, the fireworks that lit the night sky.
