The Disney Wish & Disney Treasure {The Rose & Palo Steakhouse Adult Dining}

After four voyages on the Disney Wish and two on the Disney Treasure, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing these incredible spaces multiple times. Today I’m sharing my take on two of my favorites: the elegant Palo Steakhouse and the stunning Rose Lounge. Both are must-dos for adults looking for elevated dining and cocktails at sea.

The Rose

Perched at the entrance to Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté, The Rose is a chic and romantic lounge inspired by the enchanted flower from Beauty and the Beast. It’s the perfect spot for a pre-dinner aperitif or an after-dinner cocktail, and I always recommend pairing a stop here with your Palo dining experience.

The corridor artwork features live action portraits on the Wish, while the Treasure’s version celebrates the animated classic.

One of the most delightful details is how the rose itself evolves across the Wish-class ships:

  • On the Disney Wish, the rose is a rich, full bloom.
  • On the Disney Treasure, it glows golden and is shown losing its petals – a nod to the story’s progression. (This is extra special to me, as Beauty and the Beast is my all-time favorite Disney film.)
  • And when I set sail on the Disney Destiny in November, keep an eye out for a third iteration!!!

Behind the bar on the Wish, the art features dozens of rose petals appearing to fall from the ceiling. On the Treasure, those petals are drifting toward the Beast’s castle. Both make for a stunning backdrop for your glass of champagne or craft cocktail.

Both are a respite from the hustle and bustle of the ship, offering impeccable service and unsurpassed views.

Palo Steakhouse

Prepare to be pampered at this elegant, adults-only restaurant inspired by the lovable pomp and circumstance of Cogsworth, the enchanted clock from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

The design of this space features dark wood detailing that is adorned with clockwork-inspired wall art. The layout offers oversized banquette seating or the option for a more intimate table that is adjacent to expansive windows offering stunning ocean views.

On the Wish, the decor leans red like the rose at the entry.

While on the Treasure, muted shades of gold and blush take center stage. I have a feeling the Destiny will offer something different!

An evolution of the Palo restaurant that Disney cruisers already know and love, Palo Steakhouse offers a scrumptious selection of premium steaks and exquisite Italian dishes. Our meal started with cocktails, bread and amuse bouche.

There is a four course Prezzo Fisso option, or guests can order a la carte. We usually choose the latter, as some of our favorite dishes are not offered with the Prezzo Fisso. We start with the Sliced Herbed Yellowfin Tuna.

For pastas, we always chose Agnolotti & Soft Potato Gnocchi. These are our two favorites from Palo on the rest of the fleet.

I’ve tried many other dishes in my visits. Highlights include the Heirloom Tomato, Burrata Mozzarella Caprese and Lobster Pappardelle.

The main courses are exquisite. My top recommendations are the Piquant Dover Sole, Japanese A5 Wagyu Strip Loin, Whipped Yukon Gold Potato Purée, Broccolini & Mushroom Risotto.

My favorite dessert is always the Chocolate Souffle, while Honey loves the 6-Layer Carrot Cake.

The service is always fun yet sophisticated, the food is divine and the restaurant itself sets the scene for a memorable evening. After much consideration, we both agree it is our favorite meal in the entire Disney Cruise Line fleet!

We have always set aside a night for adult dining on Disney Cruise Line. They boys happily go to the kids clubs and we enjoy a spectacular date at sea.

Palo Brunch

As much as I adore dinner, Palo’s brunch may just be my favorite experience of all. It’s a serene escape from the bustle of sea days, with natural light pouring in from ocean-facing windows and a relaxed but indulgent atmosphere.

Your meal begins with a complimentary mimosa or champagne (don’t miss the Bloody Mary, too – as beautiful as it is tasty). A thoughtful touch: iced teas are served with tea ice cubes, so they never dilute as you linger.

The meal unfolds in courses: Pastries to begin (the almond croissant is unforgettable).

A seafood or meat starter – we love ordering one of each.

A la carte entrées include my absolute go-tos: Chicken Parmesan and Lasagna. (If you pick one, go for the lasagna!)

I love when Honey branches out and I get to try new things! The Three-Cheese Omelet, Celery Soup, and Calzone – each outstanding.

Desserts: Chocolate Lava Cake… always.

Final Thoughts

From sophisticated evenings at Palo Steakhouse to sun-dappled brunches overlooking the sea, and from the artistry of The Rose Lounge to the evolution of Beauty and the Beast details across the Wish-class ships, these experiences are what make sailing Disney Cruise Line truly extraordinary.

If you’re looking for elevated dining and unforgettable moments, Palo and The Rose are absolute musts. Don’t worry, while the adults are away the kids will play (in the AMAZING and included clubs!)
