For an elevated experience on any Disney Cruise Line sailing, I absolutely must recommend cruising concierge. We’ve sailed concierge countless times, and on each voyage I’m reminded why it has become such a favorite for our family. Think of it as the “club level” of Disney Cruise Line but with even more benefits, personalized attention, and magical touches throughout your voyage.

Pre-Arrival Magic
The concierge experience begins long before you step onboard. I partner closely with the concierge team months in advance so my clients can secure the most sought-after reservations, including adult dining, island cabanas, spa appointments, beverage tastings, kids’ activities and so much more. It is genuinely the number one reason many families book concierge the first time. And, once they’ve sailed with this level of service, they’re hooked and return because of how easy the concierge team makes everything. This includes:

Embarkation Day Ease
Concierge guests breeze through the terminal and board the ship before any other group, avoiding massive crowds and long waits. You’ll enjoy a peaceful wait in the concierge embarkation lounge with seating, beverages and charging stations. Once guests being boarding the ship, concierge goes first, meaning you get several more hours on board and will find the common spaces less crowded than any other time during your voyage.
Welcome Aboard Lunch
Once onboard, concierge guests are invited to an exclusive welcome lunch with a special menu. A glass of beer or wine is included so you can chink those glasses and say Cheers to Bon Voyage! Welcome aboard bubbles are also served in the concierge lounge on embarkation day.
Concierge Lounge
This private lounge becomes an extension of your stateroom. It’s a restful, beautiful and well-run space that quickly becomes your family’s home base. It’s open from morning to night with a rotating selection of breakfast, snacks, sweets and beverages. Specialty coffees are available at the press of a button, and complimentary sodas, waters and juices are restocked as often as you’d like.
In the evening, cocktails, wine and beer are served from a full bar, and the service is exceptional. You can enjoy your refreshments in the lounge or take them with you to a show or your room.
This space is especially wonderful for families. One parent can bring children here for snacks and downtime while the other gets ready. Groups traveling together love having a quiet place to gather. And while staterooms onboard are wonderful, it’s nice to be able to stretch out a bit.
The concierge lounge is available to guests from 7AM to 10PM, with a variety of food and drink – hot and cold – items at each service time. Complimentary bottled water, soft drinks, milk and juices are available all day long. Your stateroom attendant will also stock the fridge in your room with your favorites! Specialty coffees, teas and hot chocolate are available throughout the service hours at the touch of a button.
Daily offerings include Breakfast from 7 – 10:00 AM.
Lunch snacks and afternoon offerings from 11 AM – 4:30 PM
Dinner snacks from 5-8:30 PM
Dessert Treats all day, also from 9-10PM
Complimentary beer, wine and cocktails from a full bar are available each evening from 5-10PM. These are not house offerings, but a very nice selection that you will absolutely love! Wine glasses are filled to the top with a friendly smile. Cocktails are made to order. It is a wonderful experience and you are welcome to enjoy happy hour in the lounge, or take it to go.
Concierge guests also have access to complimentary room service, like all guests. Suite guests have the option of having dinner dinner delivered to their stateroom from the main dining room. Palo delivery is even available to the Royal Suite guests!
Concierge Sundeck
Just upstairs from the lounge is the dedicated concierge sundeck. It’s quiet, calm and never crowded. There are loungers, shaded spaces, hot tubs, towels, sunscreen, cool towels on hot days, and even a Dole Whip smoothie available at no additional charge. On sea days, a cash bar operates so you can avoid long lines on the busy pool decks. The views are spectacular.
Surprise Treats
Concierge guests often receive special treats throughout their cruise. For example, we came home to a lovely fruit tray the first night. And, our nightly turndown service was top notch. We received a lovely commemorative print on our last night. All of this adds a touch of magic to an already amazing vacation!
Character Meets
Concierge guests typically have the opportunity to enjoy a private Disney character meet-and-greet in the lounge. On a recent 7-night sailings, we had two private character meets. No crowds, copious amounts of hugs, autographs and magic!
Early Access to the Walt Disney Theatre for Live Broadway Style Shows
Forty-five minutes prior to the start of the show, see your Concierge Team in the elevator landing on Deck 2 Forward to be escorted through an exclusive entrance to the Walt Disney Theatre to choose your seats before the doors open to the rest of the audience! You avoid long lines and get the pick of the litter seat wise! These shows are spectacular and not to be missed. They have a cart waiting with popcorn and bottled water but you can also bring a drink from the lounge.

Simply present your Gold Key To the World Cards at the refreshment stands and enjoy fresh popcorn. My kids LOVE this!
Internet Package
All concierge guests age 18+ enjoy 24 hours of “basic surf” internet. Suite guests receive complimentary internet for the entire voyage.
Stateroom Amenities
Concierge guests enjoy upgraded toiletries, a menu of pillows to select from and so much more! All staterooms have a refrigerator stocked with complimentary bottled water and sodas of your choice. These are the little details that truly elevate the experience!
A Smooth Goodbye
After breakfast in the concierge lounge, the concierge team will escort you right off the ship. This is such a lovely way to end your voyage. You take a private elevator down to the gangway. I realize this may not sound like a big perk, but if you’ve ever stood in the lobby with your luggage, family and a thousand other guests waiting to get off the ship, you will know it is!
The Real Difference: The Concierge Team
The concierge team is, without question, the greatest perk of all. They take care of the details so you can fully enjoy your time. They secure last-minute reservations, handle questions and requests, solve problems and simply make every moment easier. Their service is always personal, thoughtful and kind, and they genuinely want your family to have the vacation of your dreams.
Is It Worth It?
Concierge rooms do come at a premium and often sell out long before standard staterooms. If your family values personalized service, fewer crowds, less time in lines and more ease in every part of the vacation, then concierge is absolutely worth it.
If you’re first-time cruisers and want the best chance at those “hard-to-get” reservations like cabanas, adult dining or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, concierge gives you the best access.
If crowds make you nervous or you just prefer a more relaxed and luxurious pace, concierge is the answer.
That said, Disney Cruise Line is spectacular at every level. I have sailed nineteen times and about half of those voyages were not concierge. Every one of them was wonderful. Concierge simply elevates the entire experience.
