Classic Christmas Home Tour 2025 {Exterior & Entry}

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and I am so excited to welcome you in for another season of twinkle lights, classic red ribbons and Christmas cheer. The house has been decorated for a few weeks now. You know I love getting everything up early so we can enjoy it fully, without scrambling once December hits.

Classic Christmas Exterior Decor

White lights, lush garlands, and big red bows still reign supreme over here. I say it every year, but the combination is timeless and makes me smile every single time I pull into the driveway.

Every window on the front gets a wreath. It’s a classic look that I’ve used for the last twenty-three years on both of our homes.

See my easy technique for bows in this video >>  How to Make Christmas Bows  and how to hang your wreaths in this post >> 2 Easy Ways to Hang Christmas Wreaths. I replaced my suction cups this year and the new ones are marvelous >> Wreath Hangers

I assembled monogrammed wreaths for four of our exterior entry doors quite a few years ago and I still love them.  See how I made it and get links to the products used here >> Holiday Monogram Wreath

The ferns didn’t quite survive long enough for photos this year so I popped in my trusty Grandin Road urn fillers. They’re battery-lit and just instantly bring the magic.

My garlands are pre-lit from Costco and I think we’re on year four of them now. The previous set had a great 8-year run. Like last year, I also added some fun large frosted round lights to the front door garland. It looks SO CUTE at night. I originally bought them many years ago on clearance for John’s room but never used them.

The friend’s entry is the last little piece to share. I put out our bucket of waters and treats for delivery people starting Thanksgiving week and have already full replinished them.

Classic Christmas Entry Foyer Decor

Come on in!

The exterior decor flows right into the foyer, where red ribbons, greenery and our brand-new wallpaper come together in the most beautiful way.

I didn’t change much from last season (I rarely do) but that’s always been part of the charm for me. You’ll see little seasonal tweaks here and there. But for the most part, I love reusing what we already treasure.

The glittery Santa from my Shop of Vinings days is right back in his spot, surrounded by small trees. The cozy taper candles are set to come on each evening. >> Taper Candles

I still love incorporating natural elements… pheasant feathers, a little leopard print, touches of gold… just enough to make everything feel classic but with a bit of personality. Mother’s hand painted Christmas lampshades are among my Christmas decor favorites. >> Christmas Lamp Shades

The battery-lit garland draped along the stairs is the same one I’ve used for a few years, with an extra cedar garland tucked underneath for fullness. The timer setting continues to be a lifesaver during this busy season.

I can’t wait to share the rest of our holiday home with you in the coming days. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!
