Our precious baby girl, Anna Dasher, celebrated her FIRST birthday yesterday!!!
Lest you think she sits picture perfect, here is your “Instagram vs Reality shot”. :-) She’s still allllll puppy!
We just couldn’t love her more. She fit right in with the rest of us and it is hard to image life before her! If you recall, she was the boys’ Christmas gift last year and came home on New Year’s Eve.
We set up her celebration right at the kitchen table, as one does. (face palm….) I found the plates, banner and chalk board at Target a few months ago. Anna has two nicknames – Nibbles (she chews on ev.ery.thing.) and BB (short for Butterball). Her three favorite things are food (she just graduated from the slow feed bowl!), fight club (as we affectionately call her romps with Elsa – our faves being the Friday Night Smackdown and Monday Night Raw) and dive bombs (as Whit named the way she runs and jumps on us at us at full speed whenever we come through the door). It would hardly be a party without a treat for all, so I made chocolate peanut butter cupcakes for the humans.
Anna’s cake and Elsa’s donut were from Dog City Bakery. Y’all… it’s like a real bakery where they cook the treats right there in house.
Cousin Lolly sent treats for the occasion too!
You can’t help but smile when you see this little angel. She is the first one to greet us at the door, she lays ON TOP OF US in the bed, she has a giant yawn every morning that sounds just like Chewbacca, she sleeps under my chair while I work, she chases every leaf in the yard, she rolls over for belly scratches any time we get a visitor, and she follows Elsa around like she’s her mama.
