The Little Mermaid at the Fabulous Fox Theater

My theater going, Disney loving bestie S and I headed down to the fabulous Fox Theater for The Little Mermaid last Thursday night.  If you ever have the opportunity to see a show in this iconic theater, I highly recommend doing so.  It is my favorite venue in Atlanta hands down!

The show itself was good.  I can’t say it was my very favorite (because Dirty Dancing….) but it was enjoyable for sure.  Arial has a magnificent voice and it was hard not to sing aloud to the incredible music of The Little Mermaid – especially with the orchestra!  My main hangup was that she didn’t have a real mermaid tail.  I get that then she couldn’t move but I couldn’t shake it.  Ha!

Sebastian really stole the show – I loved him!  The sets were nice, the costumes were pretty and the story is fabulous.

Miss Priss went to see it with her family just two days after me on her birthday.  Needless to say, she LOVED it.  It is also worth mentioning that Sister didn’t have the tail hang up and loved Ariel’s dress.

If the show is coming near you and you have a little one or an affinity for Disney shows, I’d recommend going.  Meanwhile, I will be counting down the days until Beauty and the Beast hits the silver screen on 3/17!!!

Since the littles were on holiday Monday, we have yet another short week.  I mean, they haven’t been to school a full week since the second week of December.  So, I’d better run and try to make up some time here.  One of my favorite memes says “trying to clean your house with kids home is like trying to brush your teeth while eating Oreos.”  Totally feeling that…  lol
