Until the PCP started Kindergarten last fall, life for the W boys was pretty much a permanent vacation. I sat down with the PCP before school let out and we made a little bucket list of things to do on the W Boy’s FIRST Summer Vacation Ever!
I printed it out on cardstock, we’ve tacked it to our mud room chalk board and we’re crossing them off as we do them. (Which totally does NOT mean we can’t do them again, and is in no way binding that we do them all.) It’s already helped to answer a few of those “Mommy, what are we doing today?” questions.
Some of our to-do’s were favorites from our Kindergarten Countdown and others are new for this year. Whatever the case, it’s bound to be a blast!

Monster Bash Birthday Fete
My favorite nephew Bird celebrated his third birthday with a monster-train bash like none other. Sister and her Mister and Mother pulled out all the stops to celebrate the momentous occasion in style. Sit back, relax and prepare to be wowed by the thought, care and brilliance that went into the fete… The invitations had… Read More
Porch Progress {Week 6}
Even with Monday’s holiday, we still saw some good progress on the porch last week! For starters, the fireplace insert is in! We went with a 42” box that’s wood burning with a gas starter. It will be bricked up on the inside…fingers crossed that’ll happen this week. Honey picked up the screen door we… Read More
1930

I’ve collected extensive research for both sides of my family and Honey’s family and keep our lineage displayed on Martha Stewart’s Family Fan (no longer available.) I feel like I can never learn enough about the people that came before me…I’ve spent hours pouring through Mother’s bin of… Read More
Ready for Summer
I ordered a laughable number of swimsuits online back over Easter weekend, hoping and praying that I’d find just one in the lot worth keeping. And, that wish came true with nothing more than I asked for. I kept this gold one-shoulder Michael Kors number and returned the rest to Macy’s. When I modeled it… Read More
Mason Jar BBQ Sundae Supper
When I read this article in Southern Living I knew then and there that I had to recreate it for our next Sunday Supper… “From his Ole Miss days, Foods Editor Scott Jones fondly remembers the BBQ Sundae served at the Rebel Barn BBQ in Oxford. An entrée, not dessert, the sundae layers pork, slaw,… Read More
Finding Neverland
Besties A & D hosted a positively enchanted Finding Neverland inspired soiree in celebration of their girls’ second and fourth birthdays. I came out of retirement (only for the briefest minute) to help out with the invitation… …and A took it from there. There’s just nothing better than gearing up in costume for a… Read More
