I always put together a busy bucket for our long drive.  Some are quite elaborate and others have been much more simple.  I use most of the items over each time, just adding a few things that I pick up and store when I see them!  You can see how I have done them in the past here:  2011, 2012 Christmas, 2013 Halloween

As they’ve gotten older, we don’t do the messages from mickey and pre-purchased souvenirs.  Now, they are very happy collecting Disney pressed pennies on each trip!  See how we do it and find a free printable guide here.

MESSAGES FROM MICKEY
When my littles were even littler, I used these Messages from Mickey cards to leave a little dollar store treat and note for them in the room each morning of our trip.  This saved tons of money in souvenirs and was something they really looked forward to!   You can find the cards in the Dixie Delights Shop and read all of the details on how I used them in these three posts: 2011, 2012 Christmas, 2013 Halloween.

DISNEY EATS

As mentioned on my Walt Disney World page, we pack simple breakfast foods and typically eat in the room.  This saves us money and gives us more time to be in the parks when they open.  I usually just throw a bag of food in the back of the car, but a couple of times I have made them extra fancy.  See more here.

I’ve also done a few cute DIYs for myself, included painted TOMS, inter-changable ears and custom Minnie ears.

Some of my other favorite Disney accessories are custom themed bows and custom necklaces.  I also love Alex & Ani bracelets, Pandora charms and the Vera Bradley line!

 AROUND THE HOUSE

I made a few DIY Disney toppers for my Happy Everything plate.  We use these for countdowns and Disney dinners!

Darling Disney door hanger is painted as a chalkboard on the reverse side.  So cute for a Disney party or countdown.
