I am so excited to share the most delicious cocktail I created for our Valentine’s Day. I wanted something we would both love, but also something festive and special for the evening. Enter the Lavender Rose 75!
Lavender Rose 75
This is based on the Empress 75, which is our absolute favorite cocktail of all time and our “signature” cocktail that we always serve when entertaining.
INGREDIENTS

- 3⁄4 OZ FRESH LEMON JUICE
- 1⁄2 OZ LAVENDER SIMPLE SYRUP
- SPARKLING WINE
- Edible Rose Petals
METHOD
Shake on ice, fine strain into a chilled flute, top with sparkling wine. Garnish with rose petals.
Lavender Simple Syrup
I almost always have this simple syrup in the fridge. It is my favorite in an afternoon iced latte and was fantastic in this cocktail.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 T. dried lavender
Combine everything in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently until sugar completely dissolves. Once cool, strain into a container.

You said “strain into a chilled flute” but the glasses you are using are champagne coupes. Flutes are the tall skinny ones. ;)
Copied and pasted directions. I know the difference :-)
I want to come over for a cocktail and charcuterie:) thanks for sharing. Looks wonderful
Make me one!!! Love this – thanks for the inspiration – going to try it myself!
