Celebrating Christmas 2022 {Christmas Eve Traditions}

We made it home yesterday! Mother made a yummy breakfast, the ladies headed to town for last minute shopping and the guys hit their favorite Mexican restaurant (their own tradition) and a few shops of their own for last minute items. Back at home for the afternoon, we played games, read, watched movies and just generally enjoyed the company of each other.

For Christmas Eve dinner we enjoyed a buffet of appetizers, which was so much fun to graze as the night unfolded.

Daddy-O did the annual reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. We all gather in a circle and start with one pre-wrapped gift. Every time he reads aloud the word “And” we pass our gift to the left. You keep what you end up with OR beg, barter and trade.

With the kids tucked away in the bunk room (we heard laughter and nonsense WELL into the night), the adults began the annual wrapping extravaganza. We always look forward to this!

Merry Christmas, eve!
