Celebrating Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!  We were up late this morning and racing against the clock but, when I realized a turkey sandwich would not do on Ash Wednesday, I did manage to eek out a cute peanut butter and honey option for Whit.  I might have gone to the bus stop in a state of unkempt but it was worth it.  After school Whit said it was his favorite lunch of the year!  (I spared the 6th grader the embarrassment of opening this.)

If you read my post the other day about Costco and the tires, I now know that Honey was pulling my leg the whole time.  For the first time in my life, I had flowers show up on the door step for Valentine’s Day!!!!!!!!!!  The heart cookies came in a bouquet from a client!!!!!!!!!!  And, you can find The Greatest Showman printable in THIS POST.

I surprised the boys with an early dinner of Papa John’s heart shaped pizza because…

…. I spent my time setting up their real Valentine’s Day surprise – a circus inspired dessert and tickets to the Big Apple Circus for a family Valentine outing!

I’ll update y’all on how the night unfolded as soon as I can!!

Meanwhile, I felt so festive all day long in a last-minute Elizabeth Wilson Designs top score, bracelets made by mom and these adorable Melissa Shoes.  I also feel compelled to say that these are winter white fine wale cords (that I’ve had for years).  I don’t know why, but I do.  :-)

My other fave Valentine’s look this month was the cloister top (now on sale!) from Draper James, a necklace made by my mom, my Charleston Rice Beads, and tassel earrings from Willow Park Boutique, owned by a friend!

I hope that you and yours had a wonderful day!
