I spruced up our little driveway sitting area last weekend in preparation for hosting Jay’s first communion dinner and then Mother’s Day on Sunday.  I wanted things cheerful and springy, so I swapped out the turquoise cushions I usually keep here for a couple of my Lilly Pulitzer x Target pillows from a couple of years ago.

My boys still play in the driveway a lot and with Jay and CeeCee here much of the weekend, this space got a lot of use.  While John mostly occupies himself with basketball and the lacrosse goal, the other kids are riding scooters, playing with nerf guns and light sabers, jump roping and hula hooping.   (As an aside, it turns out Honey is a masterful jump roper… )

I’ve had the chairs for more than ten years, if you can imagine that!  They were from the old Garden Ridge store in Kennesaw.  The cushions were new last year from Home Decorators, the umbrella from Target and the table from At Home.   I did give the table a fresh coat of paint as well.

I have had my colorful  Bronwyn Hanahan Art bike door hanger out all month over here at the side entry.  It coordinates well with the flower basket on the front door.

We use this massive driveway for more things than I ever would have imagined when we moved in years ago.  Parties, playing, grilling, you name it.  You can find all of the info on our exterior renovation and paint colors in this post.
