In my mind, the fleeting moments at twilight when the sun finally dips below the horizon and night settles in are the most breathtaking and magical minutes of the day. But during the month of October, breathtaking turns eerie as twilight casts her delicious magic on already spooky displays. This is what our trick-or-treaters will see in a few short weeks…beware, haunted.
Shadows dance off of the crows, rats and bats in the foyer, and jack ‘o lantern shades cast an eerie orange glow over the entry.
Light dances and shadows jump at the dine if you dare dinner party going on in the dining room.
And leaves falling off trees and the crisp air out on the porch confirm that Halloween is near.
Even the friends’ entry forebodes what’s inside.
