My Soul Has a Hat

July 17, 2025July 17, 2025

Sometimes you come across words at just the right moment in your life, the kind that linger long after you’ve read them. I recently stumbled on a poem by Mario Raul de Morais Andrade called My Soul Has a Hat, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. I read it right in… Read More

I Love {Lumineux Teeth Whitening}

July 16, 2025July 16, 2025

Y’all know I don’t share a product here unless I actually use it and truly love it. Well, today I’m popping in with a totally random thing you didn’t ask for… Lumineux Teeth Whitening Strips! I’ve been using these for a few months now and only have good things to report back. First and foremost,… Read More

Sunday Supper {A New Chicken Taco in the House}

July 13, 2025July 14, 2025

For the past three and a half years, this chili lime chicken taco recipe has been a staple in our family’s dinner rotation. It’s bright, zesty, and bursting with flavor – plus it makes enough to stretch into leftovers, which is always a win in my book. Just last month, I found myself craving our… Read More

Around Atlanta {Tiger Sun Cocktail Experience}

July 12, 2025July 12, 2025

Honey and I recently slipped away for our most unique date night of the year so far! Tucked behind Muchacho in Reynoldstown, Tiger Sun is not your average cocktail bar. This is an 18-seat, reservation-only omakase cocktail lounge hidden aboard a vintage tour bus. Each visit is an experience in itself- a tight 90-minute “ride”… Read More

Sips & Suits {July Mahjong}

July 11, 2025July 12, 2025

We had our regularly scheduled monthly mahj last week, but in the whirlwind of chatter and clacking tiles, I didn’t manage to snap a single photo! Sometimes, that’s how you know it was a good one. In addition to our big club meet-up, I found myself hosting an impromptu little morning game over the long… Read More

The Bones Birthday Tradition

July 9, 2025July 9, 2025

For John’s sweet sixteen, Sister and her family took him to dinner at Bones Steakhouse, an Atlanta institution. They had such a marvelous time at this milestone age that we proclaimed it a rite of passage for all the cousins! In December, it was Whit’s turn, and just last month we had the honor of… Read More

On My Bedside {Throne of Glass Series}

July 8, 2025July 8, 2025

I recently wrapped up the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best series I’ve read. This is s strong statement… maybe the best since Harry Potter. I devoured book after book over the course of the spring and summer, and found myself missing the… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
