Castaway Cay Beach Cabanas

My favorite day on any Disney Cruise Line sailing is the one spent on Castaway Cay!

Your concierge hosts can call a golf cart to meet your cabana part right at the gangway and take you to your home for the day. Of course, they also return you lickety split, whenever you are ready.

The main entrance to the cabanas is right next to Cookies BBQ. However, if you are arriving by golf cart, you’ll take a back entrance that is more direct.

Cabana guests enjoy their own slice of serenity with a private beach and ocean area. It is quiet and luxurious. These cabanas are SO hard to secure and you really must sail concierge for a glimmer of hope at getting one.

Castaway Cay Family Cabana

While there are cabanas at Serenity Bay, the adult only beach, we love how close the family beach is to all of the action.

Here is a little peek inside a family cabana. These are designed to very comfortably house six guests, but up to 4 more can be added at an additional cost.

There are fans, a beverage fridge, towels (no need to carry your own!), sunscreen, a safe and plenty of comfortable seating options inside. There is a private changing area, but the doors can also be shut if your little one needs a nap or if a rain shower pops up.

The outdoor sun deck has more seating and a nice shade curtain that I thoroughly appreciated!

Out on the beach, you will enjoy your very own hammock, lounge chairs, umbrellas and smaller chairs that most guests pull down to the water’s edge. Each cabana comes with floats. Use of snorkel equipment and bikes is also included.

We spent our day between floating in the ocean, napping in the hammock and reading in the cabana.

Waitstaff will come down the beach for drink orders. As always, my family’s favorite is the BBC.

Castaway Cay Grand Family Cabana

I have also had the pleasure of enjoying a Grand Family Cabana with friends once, and more recently with my extended familyl.! This one is located at the end of the boardwalk with the most perfect views all around.

It is the ultimate in beach luxury, with all of the same amenities as the family cabana, just larger! There is only one of this size and it is extremely hard to secure. The grand cabana houses 10 comfortably. You can add up to 6 more with an additional fee.

We spent our whole afternoon relaxing and soaking in the sun from the cabana and private cabana beach. What a wonderful experience.

Castaway Cay Beach Cabana Amenities

Here is pricing and inclusions for the cabana. Again, this is hands down the hardest thing to secure on Disney Cruise Line. I have only ever seen it available to concierge guests. Concierge guests have a high chance of successfully getting one on the Dream, Fantasy, Wonder and Magic. Since there are so many concierge staterooms on the Wish, I’d say your chances are only about 50/50. Of course, I handle all of these requests for my clients.

A few of the concierge team always come down to attend to cabana guests for the day. At the push of button you could order drinks, or request a golf cart ride to food, snorkeling, shopping, the slides or anywhere your heart desired. Cabana guests also have the use of floats, snorkel gear and bikes for the day.
