Brownie Pie + Other Favorite Desserts

I am SO excited to share this delicious dessert – Brownie Pie from the Magnolia Table cookbook.  I first made it for our Sunday Supper and it got rave reviews.  It was so easy, and so good, that I made two more within the next week to take to gatherings.  For the one I made at home, I used my favorite Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust in my Emile Henry Deep Ruffled Pie Dish (sharing the link because it is so beautiful!).  For the two I took on the road, I used 9″ deep dish pie crusts from the freezer section for ease of transport and so that I didn’t have to go back and collect my pie plate later.  Not only does it look beautiful and taste great, but the recipe is REALLY easy to double.

Here is the recipe.  Does anyone else write in their cookbooks?  I always make notes about things I changed, if I had to alter the baking time or if it was something we particularly loved.  This one got a “favorite!” note, and my cooking time was only 50 minutes.  :-)

If you’re curious, here are my other foolproof, delicious, go to desserts.  I have made ALL of these many times and just keep coming back to them time and again.

Chocolate Cassis Cake

Ice Cream Sandwich Sundae Cake

Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake

Hope you’re having a great week!  If you have a favorite dessert, share it here!

Sunday Supper {Chicken & Wild Rice Soup}

I made the Chicken & Wild Rice Soup from Magnolia Table for last week’s Sunday Supper and it was delicious.  I served it with a green salad and honey buttered rolls.  Everyone loved it and, like last week’s chicken tortilla soup, this one will definitely go on the fall and winter rotation!  The recipe made plenty for two… Read More

It was another busy busy week here in the bathroom renovation process.  First things first, the doors!!!  We decided to sacrifice privacy doors for the light that they would allow to go back and forth between the bedroom and bathroom.  They are custom doors that were stained to match the existing, original doors in the… Read More
