Happy Thanksgiving!!
I started my day with my own little turkey trot 5k and then a giant cup of coffee. We tried to make beignets but they weren’t good. HA! So, we settled for bacon and some Monopoly Deal for breakfast.
I didn’t make any turkey today, but I did sing this song until the boys were begging me to stop. It reminds me so much of Daddy-O. He still reads “the funny papers” and clips out comics that remind him of me or my family. I have a stack of these treasures, which he always dates and sometimes changes the names on or adds his own commentary to.
Honey’s mom had us over for a delicious feast!! It was a lovely afternoon with Honey’s side of the family. We ate, drank and laughed… a lot! And then we all retreated to our homes for the requisite turkey day nap, the hallmark of a good Thanksgiving meal.
Most of all, I’m feeling extra thankful for these three boys today. <3
