Since the baby is head over heels for BB8, I updated the original It’s Great to be 8 birthday treat made for big bro three years ago for his class treat!
These are super easy to put together, even for a crowd!! Here’s what you need:
mini donuts (3 bags would have made about 29 treats)
8″ lollipop sticks
cello bags (optional for packaging)
free printable It’s Great To BB8 tags
hole puncher
ribbon or twine
- Carefully thread the donuts on the sticks to make “8’s”. Don’t push the stick all the way through the top donut.
- If desired, put each one in a cello bag.
- Print and cut tags. Punch a hole in the center of each solid circle. Tie on your stick or around the bottom of the cello bag if packaging individually.
It’s been all things droid for this birthday. At his party we kept it simple but festive with a BB8 Balloon, handmade garlands and canvas left over from his cousin’s party, a glittered 8 from the Dollar Spot at Target and a BB8 Christmas ornament (Walmart) used as a keepsake cake topper!
His shirt is a darling BB8 Tie Dye from Twirly Toes on etsy.
We’ve gotten SO much use out of that shirt between Halloween, Disney trips and birthdays!! It sure IS great to BB8!
