In spite of my best intentions to get my last big boy room project posted, the crafty Halloween Witch brought the littles’ tickets to Fall Festival at the PCP’s school and we’ve just now settled down for the night. Needless to say, the jumping, dancing, riding, hot dog and cotton candy eating night was pretty much the cat’s meow as far as the three year old and six year old were concerned.
(The PCP has on his standard unsanctioned, unsupervised kid’s-choice end-of-week outfit [baseball knee socks, tennis shorts and a Falcons or Braves jersey] that is our regular reward for bringing home a week’s worth of good behavior marks. You have no idea how it kills me to send him out the door in these get-ups every Friday morning.) With that, I’m off to bury my nose in Defending Jacob – such a fascinating read! xoxo
Krispy Screams
The Halloween Witch has really outdone herself this week (if I do say so myself). The littles awoke to a scrumptious little breakfast of “Krispy Scream” pumpkin and spider web donuts. I had the friendly guy at the KK (I say friendly because while he dazzled my with stories of how he’s going to… Read More
Wonderfully Wormy
Our faithful Halloween Witch cooked up a wonderfully wormy supper for their dining delight earlier this week. Wiggly worm dogs (cut them lengthwise into quarters before cooking), squiggly worm beans and wormed apple slices comprised the best dinner all week as far as the littles were concerned. The ten minutes it took to throw together… Read More
I Love {The Cloche}
One of my favorite decorative accessories is the cloche. There is just something about those gently curved glass domes that make whatever is tucked underneath immensely more fabulous than it might otherwise seem. My most prized cloche in the collection is in the den. I have one bronzed baby shoe from each little nestled inside… Read More
Ribba Love
The latest project in the baby’s big boy room was putting up the gallery wall. (And hanging the curtains, obvi!!) I gathered up some of our most beloved pics of the baby, a few prints and a couple of other special items for the wall, including the Yes Ma’am, No Ma’am print from The… Read More
Bus Driver Day
Last week we celebrated bus driver day and finally had the occasion to use this darling little bucket procured from the dollar bin at Target earlier this fall. A cello baggie full of mini break and bake Tollhouse cookies filled it up for a sweet “thank you” to our kind yet no-nonsense bus driver. And… Read More
Attention to Detail
The PCP carried home the cleverest little art project earlier this week – a large piece of construction paper folded into a house. And this is where he knocked my socks off. A peek inside shows his bedroom, illustrated with an immaculate attention to detail. Twin beds with quilts and folded monogrammed duvets (monogrammed duvets,… Read More
