Last year was the first year I had decorated our bedroom in 14 years of marriage! I enjoyed it so much and was excited to bring it back again this year.
The red bedding was purchased last year. It was called Odette from Pottery Barn. It’s such a beautiful pattern, with deer, swans, woodland rabbits and greenery.
I hung a simple wreath on the mirror and added a little greenery to the sconces. See a complete how-to videos on How to Spruce Up a Basic Wreath and how to make a Simple and Easy Greenery Bouquet.
On the dresser I have a simple flower arrangement and a little painting made by Mother from a few years ago. Watch my DIY flower arranging video for a how-to, tips and tricks!
Over in the guest bedroom, I just add a few little touches of Christmas for our guests (ie. Mother and Daddy-O).
I love hanging greenery and bows to the posts of the bed. It is so simple and takes about two minutes to do.
I’ve got one space left to share – the porch!

Thank you Christi. So true.
Beautiful!
Thank you so much!
It’s so lovely, Amanda. The deep reds look so beautiful and this year I noticed the little British bears in your guest room. :-) They are so charming!
This year, I have my “Crown Tree” up, in honor of the upcoming royal baby ~ NOT because of “Me-Again Nutmeg”! (yuk) ;-)
Thank you for your tour….one of the very best in all of BlogLand!
Thank you! Yes, Mother brought me the bears after a trip to London!
Your house is impeccable! I love the shell box on the dresser, do you remember where you got it?
Thank you so much for saying that <# The shell box was a gift!
I love the skirting on your beds. Where could I find some?
It is from Horchow. I’ve had both for quite a few years though.
