Happy Hour {Bourbon Cream}

Here’s one for my Happy Hour files, and it doesn’t get easier than this. Today’s installment requires no shaking, no stirring and no measuring. You simply open the bottle, pour and enjoy!

When we did our Kentucky road trip back in 2022, one of our favorite stops was touring the Buffalo Trace Distillery. We tasted their Bourbon Cream and were smitten. We carried home more bottles than I care to admit, both to enjoy ourselves and to gift that Christmas. Every single recipient loved it.

Four years later, it has become something of a holiday staple around here. (It’s available in our liquor stores.) My favorite way to serve it is straight up, no ice, poured into our Christmas Vacation moose glasses WITH Daddy-O, of course, and sitting by the tree. Because if you’re going to lean into holiday cheer, you might as well fully commit.

If you’re looking for the perfect Christmas cocktail, hostess gift, or something special to keep on hand for impromptu guests, this one checks every box. With our impending ice storm, I’m pleased to say I’ve got a bottle ready :-)

I love the location, tucked right on Main Street with views of Cinderella Castle, and the early 20th-century atmosphere feels like stepping into a quieter, simpler version of the park. You’ll find the entrance just… Read More

Sunday Supper {Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas}

Y’all, we have a winner. This week’s Sunday Supper was Ivy Odom’s Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas, and the verdict from my crew was unanimous. Huge hit. The kind of dinner where everyone goes back for seconds and you’re already excited about the leftovers before the table is even cleared. This recipe serves a crowd, which… Read More
