Sunday Sweet {Peanut Butter & Jelly Bars}

Ina Garten’s Peanut Butter & Jelly Bars are one of her most iconic recipes – straight from her Barefoot Contessa shop and shared in Barefoot Contessa At Home. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve flipped past this recipe. Something about it just didn’t sound all that appetizing to me, even though there isn’t a sandwich I love more than a good old-fashioned PB&J.

When I was planning appetizers for a recent game night, I was inspired to put together a menu that felt like “grown up childhood favorites.” Suddenly, Ina’s PB&J Bars came to mind.

And gosh, y’all—they are popular for a reason! The bars are the perfect balance of creamy peanut butter and sweet raspberry jelly, and they couldn’t be easier to make. The recipe makes plenty, which is ideal when serving a crowd. We enjoyed them at game night, again for breakfast the next morning, and then as little sweet treats for days after.

Stay tuned: game night details are coming soon. (Spoiler alert: the snacks weren’t the only things that got competitive!)
