Sunday Supper {Creamy Gnocchi Soup}

November 21, 2021November 12, 2023

I made this creamy gnocchi soup on a chilly fall day last week and it was the ultimate comfort food. Every bite was like a warm hug. :-) I went back for seconds and completely gorged myself. The rest of the family felt the same way. I highly recommend making this one and am already… Read More

Sunday Supper {Whit’s Maple Cheesecake}

November 14, 2021November 14, 2021

Whit and I made a few laps around the Epcot Food & Wine Festival this year and our number one favorite dish was the Maple Cheesecake! After our second helping, we started googling recipes. Once back home, we printed out three options and decided to make a crust inspired by one, the filling from a… Read More

This is a delicious and flavorful twist on one of my family’s favorite suppers – spaghetti and meatballs! The recipe came from a friend out of her Everyday Dinners cookbook. I don’t know anything else about it, but if all the recipes are this good I need to investigate! Chicken Romano Meatballs Serve over pasta… Read More

Mummy Dogs & Graveyard Brownies

October 22, 2021

I LOVE easy, festive dinners during any holiday season. Mummy Dogs and Graveyard Brownies were perfect for a busy school night, as neither required much prep work. I’ve been serving Mummy Dogs during Halloween since the boys were old enough to chew a hot dog. Since I only tend to do them during October, they… Read More

Sunday Supper {Cheeseburger Soup}

October 17, 2021October 18, 2021

Fall arrived in the South this weekend and it was glorious!!! We enjoyed the high school homecoming game Friday, dance Saturday and sports Sunday – all outside! I was inspired by the chill in the air to serve a hearty, homey soup for our Sunday Supper. This was a HUGE hit and is something I… Read More

Halloween Haunted House Bundt Cake

October 13, 2021October 14, 2021

My family knows it is time to start the Halloween festivities when Sunday Supper hits the table with the haunted house cake for dessert! I’ve used this pan for a few cakes a year, a few years in a row: Haunted House Bundt Pan. It works wonderfully! This is one of my favorite, tried and true… Read More

Sunday Snacking {Spinach Artichoke Dip & Other Football Faves}

October 3, 2021September 19, 2021

I literally just talked about how food is an important part of home around here. Well, now that I’ve got three males that want to park in front of the TV all of football season, I have enjoyed planning a fun dip or appetizer for them to nosh on. This week’s winner was Spinach &… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
