Classic Christmas Home Tour 2024 {Dining Room}

With the new look of the dining room, I had fun pulling together this year’s Christmas decor.

Something about the large window, wallpaper and ceiling color make it incredibly hard to photograph and get true colors. I did my best :-)

Since this is our primary dining space and we use it daily for supper (plus breakfast on weekends), I skipped an extravagant table this year. I certainly enjoyed them in the past, but we do live here and I keep things as practical as possible. We aren’t even hosting any Christmas dinners so I’m not sure I’ll be doing anything more than this simple deer and candles.

We replaced the china cabinet from our old home with a built in this year and I LOVE it. It fits the space perfectly and offers a significant amount of storage. I hung mini wreaths (Kirkland’s) from each door and tied with red satin ribbon.

The mirror on the far wall was originally in our kitchen and the sconces were in the living room. Another mini wreath hangs on the mirror. The second photo here is the most accurate color wise!

My favorite in this room is the nativity.  It’s one of the very first Christmas decorations I ever purchased, almost 25 years ago.  It is so beautifully detailed and the manger has a small light that I love turning on in the evenings.

Brass bells hang from the sideboard with red ribbon.

We have enjoyed this space so much. I know I owe you a full reveal post. Hopefully in early 2025. :-)

The den is next on the agenda. It’s my favorite room at Christmastime!

Sunday Supper {Crusty Baked Potatoes with Whipped Feta}

I love a baked potato night. It’s one of my favorite meals, if you call it that. :-) Last week came across Ina’s Crusty Baked Potatoes with Whipped Feta and immediately added the ingredients to the grocery list. The potato skin was so crusty and delicious, and the creamy cheese and potato inside was heavenly.… Read More
