The Best Photo Books

There isn’t enough wall space in my home to store all of the moments and memories i want to hold on to. I occasionally swap out a family photo for a newer version, but realized years ago that I would need to make photo books of really special pictures in lieu of erecting additional walls.  It seems like a much more economical solution, right?!

I love to rotate through books old and new in the den. I found this lucite display stand at Ballard Designs.

My very favorite of all the photo books out there is the premium panoramic photo book from mpix.com.  Mpix is actually my go-to source for canvases and frame worthy prints as well.  Their quality is extremely high and I have always been very pleased with their work.  Because they are pricier than others (ie. shutterfly, snapfish, cvs), I usually stalk their site for a deal before ordering anything big.  They don’t rotate through sales quickly, so you really do have to be patient – and ready – to catch one.

I always do the linen cover and add a custom photo wrap for the outside.

My latest two were from our Grand Family / Grand Grad session at Disney World and of some favorite moments from Paris with Honey.

I upgrade to the premium paper and it is really, really nice.  The colors are so vibrant and the pages are extremely thick.  You can choose the layout for each page, but it does take some time.  To keep things a bit easier I *mostly* stick with three page designs – the full page portrait, the large portrait page, and the two page spread.

How do you save your memories?

Celebrating the Class of 2024 {Walt Disney World “Grand” Grad Pics}

Back before our cruise in May we did family AND grad photos at our grad’s favorite place in the middle of all the magic, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. She beautifully captured John, just as she has done year after year after year. My favorite from the session <3 John’s favorite: I always pick a favorite… Read More
