Perfectly Patriotic {Red, White and Blue Inside}

Our club does their big fireworks display on July 3 (it’s a long story) and so we do our own little holiday gathering the same night! I tidied up the house in preparation of our swimming, fireworks and low country boil soiree. Here are a few pics I snapped on my phone before our guests arrived. I failed to take a single photo of the actual event. :-)

The foyer is still sporting the “grad season” look, but I replaced the photo of John with a cute arrangement in a Happy Everything! cube.

My garden is overflowing with zinnia so I cut a bunch of colorful posies to go all over the house, porch and cabana. It is satisfying to grow something so pretty! Many thanks to Mother and Daddy-O for basically keeping the garden alive while we traveled this summer and while they visited all spring. HA! I’m still burning John’s graduation candles and filled small containers with candies left over from his grad party.

On the new beverage bar I added festive drink stirrers, straws and napkins. I also made a permanent place for our shaved ice set up – a staple of summer. The napkin holder and flag mini is by Nora Fleming.

The banner is from Birthday Butler. It’s my latest craze. I absolutely love how easy it is to make any spot more festive!

Like last year, I hung our Fort McHenry flag on the mantle. We aren’t using the fire this time of year and I like how it covers the big black hole. We purchased and flew this flag over Fort McHenry in 2021 and I believe it will always be a special memento of that vacation. I hate to hang it outside where the weather and elements will take a toll. And so, here it is front and center!

{Our Baltimore Trip, including Fort McHenry}

I still have much of the grad season decor out – it was serendipitous that the school colors are red, white and blue.

I purchased the cutest patriotic art on etsy for the frame TVs this year. I don’t know how it took me so long to do this!

On the side table I have a deck of patriotic cards and the cutest acrylic flag art from a sweet friend.

I was so excited to pull out our Vineyard Vines patriotic puzzle from Target a few years back! It’s been completed once and put back in the bowl to do again.

In the dining room I hung a patriotic bunting and threw a bunch of flags in a vase. I intended to make a cute table setting but we’ve mostly been eating on the porch and never got around to it.

Well, that about sums it up! I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday weekend!
