Celebrating Easter {Spring Front Door}

I’ve so enjoyed watching spring slowly unfold around our neighborhood. Over the past couple of weeks, everything has started to turn that fresh, happy shade of green, and it just feels like a breath of fresh air. And those warm days mixed with cool nights? My favorite.

We are officially in the height of pollen season over here… no rain in sight, and everything has that unmistakable yellow tint. The cars, the porches, the planters… all of it. If you know, you know.

For April, I gave our front door a little Easter refresh (No April Fool’s jokes here this year… just pretty things and bows.)

I pulled out one of my favorite monogrammed crests (from TomTom & Co) and paired it with a simple wreath I picked up at Michael’s on sale. You know I can never resist a good ribbon-on-the-dogs moment, so I added a matching one to tie it all together.

I went ahead and put my ferns out before my birthday party this year, and they are doing great. I haven’t planted them in the big planters just yet so they’ve been easy to move in on those cooler nights. That’s still on my to-do list, but for now they’re happy and that’s what matters.

Over at the side door, I brought back the sweetest bunny my mom made me years ago. It’s one of those pieces I look forward to pulling out every spring. My new faux boxwood greenery is still in this pot. I was hoping to get all of my Spring planting done this weekend but just don’t know that’s going to happen. Ha!

I’ve added a few Easter touches inside too and can’t wait to share those next.

Spring at Epcot is something special and Flower and Garden Festival is my favorite of the year. Every Spring, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival transforms the park into a living garden. Every turn feels like a photo moment and every booth invites you to slow down and savor it. This is, without question,… Read More

My Milestone Disney World Birthday Trip {Day 5: Eat Cake for Breakfast & A Sweet See Ya Real Soon}

We were up and at ’em on our last morning and hopped on the Skyliner over to the BoardWalk. Our final stop was The Cake Bake Shop for what can only be described as the most girly, pink, sparkly breakfast one could ever hope for. It was the perfect capstone to a perfect trip. The… Read More

My Milestone Disney World Birthday Trip {Day 4: Safari + Sparkles}

Saturday’s theme was Safari + Sparkles, and it could not have been a more perfect description of the day. We started slowly in the villa with breakfast, copious amounts of coffee, and the kind of chatter that only a family of nine can create. No rush, no agenda for the moment, just being together and… Read More

My Milestone Disney World Birthday Trip {Day 3: Best Birthday Ever}

The theme for Friday was simple… Best Birthday Ever. And without a doubt, it was the most special Disney day I could dream up. Three generations, a party of nine, all together in a place we love, celebrating in a way that felt both joyful and meaningful. I had to laugh at myself a few… Read More
